Francesco Scelzo

Francesco Scelzo was born in Perù in 1990 and started to study classical guitar at 9 years old. In 2010 he took the “Diploma” and in 2012 the Master Degree in Music at “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples. In the same year he won the first prize, in the prestigious “Premio Nazionale delle Arti 2010”. Currently, after has been graduated with the Master Course in Performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama of London, with M° Robert Brightmore, and completed the Master of Pedagogy of Music in “Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella” of Naples is a qualified teacher in the Middle Schools and High Schools. After his debut album “Welcome” (2012) edited by the Wakepress label, Francesco is now completing his new work, an Homage to the great guitar composer Roland Dyens and to his love for the Jazz music.

1°Prize “Omis International Guitar Competition” Omis – Croatia
From several years he is invited by many concerts associations like: Ravello Festival, William Walton Foundation, Festival Andres Segovia in Madrid, Fiuggi International Guitar Festival, Associazione Musicare in Nuoro, Omis guitar Festival and Wigmore Hall in London.
